Tiger Iron Press, LLC was formed in 2006 by one accomplished author and one
successful businessman with the goal of publishing quality nonfiction,
particularly of the South. Although
occasionally we will consider other types of nonfiction, our niche is the often
untold and unknown contribution of a southern woman or man, or the unusual
stories of southern groups, newspapers, or institutions. We especially look for biographies, memoirs,
and histories and do not accept science fiction, self-help, poetry, or fantasy
literature. Please see our Submissions Guide for our specific
guidelines. Although our independent press is young, it has already won
two national awards (IPPY and Eric Hoffer) for producing fine, well-written
books. We intend to allow our books to
be on the market much longer than larger presses, and seek works that will
become classics in their own right. We believe that putting a book into
remainder after nine months or a year does not permit the work to gain a following,
or the author to gain the royalties he/she deserves
